Reassembly [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL 
    1. Using SST and a hammer, install a new front oil pump oil seal to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

      • SST: 09350-30020 
        1. 09351-32140

      Standard Depth

      -0.2 to 0.2 mm (-0.00787 to 0.00787 in.)

      HINT: 

      The front oil pump oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

    2. Coat the lip of the front oil pump oil seal with MP grease.
  2. SECURE FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the front oil pump body sub-assembly to the torque converter assembly.
  3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR

    *1 Front Oil Pump Driven Gear
    1. Coat the front oil pump driven gear with ATF.
    2. Install the front oil pump driven gear to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.
  4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR

    *1 Front Oil Pump Drive Gear
    1. Coat the front oil pump drive gear with ATF.
    2. Install the front oil pump drive gear to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.
  5. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING

    *1 Front Oil Pump Body O-ring
    1. Coat a new front oil pump body O-ring with ATF and install it to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.
  6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Align the matchmarks, and install the stator shaft assembly to the front oil pump body sub-assembly quickly.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10.8 N.m (110 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf) 

  7. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT CLUTCH DRUM THRUST WASHER 
    1. Align the 2 claws and install the stator shaft clutch drum thrust washer to the stator shaft assembly.

  8. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT PISTON

    *1 O-ring
    1. Coat 2 new O-rings with ATF and install them to the stator shaft piston.
    2. Install the stator shaft piston and stator shaft spring sub-assembly to the oil pump assembly.

      *2 Stator Shaft Piston
    3. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 10.8 N.m (110 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf) 

  9. INSPECT FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION 

    See step  5

  10. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING 
    1. Coat 4 new clutch drum oil seal rings with ATF.
      NOTE:

      Do not expand the gap of the clutch drum oil seal rings excessively.

    2. Install the 4 clutch drum oil seal rings to the oil pump assembly.

      HINT: 

      After installing the clutch drum oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

  11. INSTALL OIL PUMP O-RING 
    1. Coat a new oil pump O-ring with ATF and install it to the oil pump assembly.
