Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE TCM
*a Junction Connector Disconnect the engine wire harness connector (A) as shown in the illustration.
- Disconnect the engine wire harness connector (B) as shown in the illustration.
- Disengage the claw and disconnect the junction connector from the connector holder.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw.
- Disconnect the grommet and connector holder from the engine room ECM box.
- Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.NOTE:
After disconnecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.
- Disconnect the 2 TCM connectors.
- Remove the 2 nuts and TCM from the engine room ECM box.NOTE:
If the TCM has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the 4 screws and 2 brackets from the TCM.
