Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2014 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2018 - 03/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2019 - ]

  2. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly LH connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve assembly LH from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.
      NOTE:
      • Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly LH (connecting surface with the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH).
      • If the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly LH has been struck or dropped, replace it.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly LH.

      *1 O-ring
  3. DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE 

    See step  5

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    See step  6

  5. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly RH connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve assembly RH from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly RH (connecting surface with the cylinder head cover sub-assembly).
      • If the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly RH has been struck or dropped, replace it.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly RH.

      *1 O-ring
