Installation [10/2015 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY GASKET
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Install the throttle body with motor assembly to the intake air surge tank assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 3 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
- Install the throttle body with motor assembly to the intake air surge tank assembly with the 4 bolts.
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose to the throttle body with motor assembly.NOTE:
Align the cutout of the air cleaner hose assembly with the protrusion of the throttle body with motor assembly.
*a Cutout *b Protrusion *c Hose Clamp *d Up *e Stopper *f Air Cleaner Hose *g 9 to 13 mm (0.355 to 0.511 in.) - Tighten the hose clamp in the position shown in the illustration.
HINT:
Make sure that the condition of the hose clamp is as shown in the illustration.
- Engage the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
- Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose and slide the clip to secure it.
- Engage the wire harness clamp and grommet to install the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
- Connect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
- Install the 2 bolts to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
- Install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose to the throttle body with motor assembly.
- INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2019 - ]
- INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2015 - ]
- INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
- Install the inlet air cleaner assembly to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Engage the 3 inverter drain hose clamps.
- Install the inlet air cleaner assembly to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose with the 3 bolts.
- INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2019 - ]
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2015 - 03/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [03/2018 - ]
- INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 85 [10/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 87 [08/2019 - ]
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 86 [10/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 88 [08/2019 - ]
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION NOTE:
- Be sure to perform this procedure after removing and reinstalling the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components.
- Perform the following procedure after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body with motor assembly is cleaned.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Clear the DTCs.

- Perform "Inspection After Repair".
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ]
- Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated. After the engine is warmed up, check that the idle speed is within the specified range with the A/C switch off.
Standard
950 to 1050 rpm
NOTE:- Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
- Make sure that the shift lever is in P.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position.
Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List
Tester Display Throttle Sensor Position - Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or higher.
- Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
