Inspection [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT BRAKE HOLD SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Check the resistance.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Brake Hold Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 (+B) - 5 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
        1 (+B) - 5 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the brake hold switch (combination switch assembly).

    2. Check the illumination.
      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the brake hold switch (combination switch assembly) and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK

        Condition Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 7 (ILL+)
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 10 (ILL-)        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the brake hold switch (combination switch assembly).
