Installation [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      *A for Type A
      *B for Type B
      *a 14.8 to 15.6 mm (0.583 to 0.614 in.)
      *b 11.1 to 12.1 mm (0.437 to 0.476 in.)

      for Type A 

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

      for Type B 

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      for Type A 

      Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) 

      for Type B 

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)

      *A for Type A
      *B for Type B
      *a 14.8 to 15.6 mm (0.583 to 0.614 in.)
      *b 11.1 to 12.1 mm (0.437 to 0.476 in.)
  3. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Engage the guide to install the ECM.
      NOTE:

      If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. Install the bolt and nut.

      Bolt 

      Torque: 12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

      Nut 

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    3. Install the grommet.
    4. Install the engine wire with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    5. Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 lock levers.
      NOTE:
      • When connecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.
      • Be sure to securely connect the ECM connectors.

      *1 Grommet
      *a Lock lever
    6. Engage the 2 claws to connect the engine wire to the engine room relay block.
    7. Connect the 3 connectors to the engine room relay block.
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 RELAY BLOCK COVER 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and claw to install the No. 1 relay block cover to the engine room relay block.
  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the guide to install the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    See step  3

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41 Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41

  12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 08/2021] Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2021 - 07/2022]
