DTC U0300-51: Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility Not Programmed; DTC U0300-57: Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility Invalid / Incompatible Software Component [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC (Hybrid Control) 
    1. Check the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      HINT: 

      If the pre-collision system outputs U0300-51 or U0300-57, hybrid control system DTCs may also have been output. Check the hybrid control system first.

      OK

      Hybrid control system DTCs are not output.

      Result

    GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM 

    For NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ]

    For LITHIUM-ION BATTERY: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2020 - ]

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (HEALTH CHECK) 
    1. Using the Techstream, perform the Health Check.
    2. Check for DTCs.

      OK

      ECUs other than the forward recognition camera do not output specification information mismatch DTCs related to the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

    Result:

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

  4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (Pre-Collision System) 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      HINT: 

      • When the specification stored by the forward recognition camera and the vehicle specification do not match, there is a malfunction in the specification information stored by the forward recognition camera. Therefore, replace the forward recognition camera.
      • When the specification stored by the forward recognition camera and the vehicle specification match, an hybrid vehicle control ECU with different specifications may be installed. Therefore, replace the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

  5. CHECK FOR DTC (Engine) 
    1. Check the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      HINT: 

      If the pre-collision system outputs U0300-51 or U0300-57, SFI system DTCs may also have been output. Check the SFI system first.

      OK

      SFI system DTCs are not output.

      Result

    GO TO SFI SYSTEM 

    For A25A-FKS: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2020 - ]
