Removal [08/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  5. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for PHEV Model) 

    See step  2

  6. REMOVE EARTH BOLT CAP 

    See step  3

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 2 EARTH WIRE 

    See step  4

  8. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL MOTOR WITH EDU ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    If the cam timing control motor with EDU assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
