How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2023 - ]

      CAN DTC is not output A
      CAN DTC is output B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2023 - ]

  4. CHECK DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA* 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Trouble Codes 

    2. Check for freeze frame data.

      HINT: 

      Record or print DTCs and freeze frame data if necessary.

    3. Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.

      Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Clear DTCs 

    4. Recheck for DTCs.

      Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Trouble Codes

  5. CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (DYNAMIC TORQUE CONTROL AWD SYSTEM)* 
    1. Use the GTS to check the vehicle control history.

      Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Utility 

      Tester Display
