How to Activate Audio Panel Switch Confirmation Mode (With Audio Unit)

Switch the ignition to ACC or ON.
Turn the audio unit power to ON.
While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the PRESET switch 3 (without display)/Selection switch 3 (with display) for 0.5 s or more .

The audio panel switch confirmation mode is now activated.

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	Press each switch on the audio panel. Does buzzer sound when pressing each switch?	Yes	Verify the customer complaint and then go to the appropriate symptom troubleshooting procedure.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	Disassemble and reassemble the audio panel and audio unit. Activate the audio panel switch confirmation mode. Does buzzer sound when pressing each switch?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Replace the audio unit. (See AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3	Does the audio system operate properly?	Yes	The system is normal.
3	Does the audio system operate properly?	No	Verify the customer complaint and then go to the appropriate symptom troubleshooting procedure.
