The electronic control unit (ECU), which incorporates a microprocessor, receives impulses from various sensors and switches. It controls the air/fuel ratio and fuel shut-off system. In addition, the ECU on Pulsar and Sentra controls mixture heater system. On Federal Pulsar and Sentra, it also controls spark timing control, air injection, richer control and idle speed control systems.
