System Operational Check

  1. Turn ignition on. ANTI-LOCK warning light on dash should illuminate. If light does not illuminate, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 7. See Figure .
  2. If light turns on, start engine. ANTI-LOCK warning light should go out. If ANTI-LOCK warning light remains on after starting engine, go to RETRIEVING CODES under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
  3. If ANTI-LOCK warning light goes off after engine is started, drive vehicle at 19 MPH or faster for at least one minute. If warning light remains off, no fault has been detected by ECU. If light illuminates during road test, go to RETRIEVING CODES under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
  4. If ANTI-LOCK light does not illuminate after engine is started and a problem exists, diagnose by symptom. Go to SYMPTOMS under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
