Neutral Safety Switch
- Neutral safety switch operates back-up lights and prevents starting except in "P" and "N" positions. To adjust, place shift lever in "N" position. Ensure transaxle is in Neutral (transaxle shift shaft lever should be in vertical position). See Fig 1 .
- Loosen neutral safety switch bolts. Rotate switch until correct size alignment pin can be inserted through shift shaft lever and switch arm. See NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH ALIGNMENT PIN table. Tighten neutral safety switch bolts and remove pin.
- Check continuity through starter circuit of neutral safety switch. Continuity should exist only in Neutral and Park positions.
