Fuel Rails & Injectors: Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEM. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect fuel inlet and return hoses. Disconnect fuel injector wiring harness connectors.
  2. Disconnect vacuum hose from pressure regulator. Remove fuel rail bolts in reverse order of installation. See Figure or Figure . Remove fuel rail and injectors as an assembly. Remove fuel injectors from fuel rail.
