Crankshaft Position Sensor

  1. Crankshaft position sensor is located on transaxle housing, next to exhaust manifold. Faults in crankshaft position sensor circuit may set DTC 82 (P0335). To test system, see DTC 85 (P0335) diagnostic procedures in the TESTS W/CODES article.
  2. To test sensor, disconnect and remove crankshaft position sensor. Measure resistance between sensor terminals. With M/T, resistance should be 432-528 ohms at 77°F (25°C). With A/T, resistance should be 166-204 ohms at 77°F (25°C). If necessary, replace crankshaft position sensor.
