Swirl Control Valve Solenoid: 2.4L

  1. Disconnect vacuum hoses and electrical connector from solenoid, located near flywheel end of cylinder head. Remove solenoid. Apply vacuum to port "A" of solenoid. Vacuum should now be available at port "C", but not at port "B".
  2. Apply battery voltage across solenoid connector terminals. Apply vacuum to port "A" of solenoid. Vacuum should now be available at port "B", but not at port "C". Replace solenoid if it does not operate as specified.
