All Transmitters Inoperative
- Check SECU Power Supply Circuit
Turn ignition off. Disconnect Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) harness connector. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (White/Blue wire) at SECU harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check fusible link "F" (25-amp), located in fuse and fusible link box. Check circuit breaker. Check for open or short in wiring harness between fuse and SECU. Repair as necessary. - Check SECU Ground Circuit
Using DVOM, check for continuity between ground and terminal No. 10 (Black wire) at SECU harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, check ground harness. Repair as necessary. - Check Door Switch Circuit
Reconnect SECU harness connector. Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and specified terminals at SECU harness connector. See DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST table. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check door switch and door switch ground condition. Check for open or short in wiring harness between door switch and SECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary.DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST (1)Application (Terminal No.) Door Switch Condition Specification Driver's Door (15) Open Zero Volts Passenger's Door (35) Open Zero Volts Rear Doors (16) Open Zero Volts All Doors (15, 16 & 35) Closed Battery Voltage (1) For terminal identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS . - Check Unlock Sensor Circuit
Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and specified terminals at SECU harness connector. See UNLOCK SENSOR CIRCUIT TEST table. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check door unlock sensor and door unlock sensor ground circuit. Check for open or short in wiring harness between door unlock sensor and SECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary.UNLOCK SENSOR CIRCUIT TEST (1)Application (Terminal No.) Unlock Sensor Condition Specification Driver's Door (12) Unlock Zero Volts Passenger's Door (13) Unlock Zero Volts Rear Doors (14) Unlock Zero Volts All Doors (12, 13 & 14) Lock Battery Voltage (1) For terminal identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS . - Check Ignition Switch ACC Circuit
Disconnect SECU harness connector. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 17 (Blue wire) at SECU harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . DVOM should indicate battery voltage with ignition switch in ACC position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check fuse No. 10 (15-amp), located in fuse block. Check for open or short in wiring harness between SECU and fuse. Repair as necessary. - Check Ignition Switch ON Circuit
Reconnect SECU harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 11 (Green wire) at SECU harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . DVOM should indicate battery voltage with ignition switch in ON position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check fuse No. 8 (7.5-amp), located in fuse block. Check for open or short in wiring harness between SECU and fuse. Repair as necessary. - Check Key Switch Input Signal
Turn ignition off. Disconnect SECU harness connector. Using DVOM, measure voltage between terminals No. 10 (Black wire) and No. 24 (Blue wire) at SECU harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . DVOM should indicate battery voltage with key inserted in ignition switch, and zero volts with key removed. If voltage is as specified, check operation of mechanical parts in door lock system. If voltage is not as specified, check fuse No. 15 (10-amp), located in fuse block. Check key switch. Check for open or short in wiring harness between key switch and fuse, or between key switch and SECU. Repair as necessary.
