Steering Column: Description

Steering columns are designed to collapse upon impact. A flexible joint and "U" joint(s) connect steering column to steering gear assembly. Most models are equipped with tilt steering wheels. All models are equipped with a combination switch mounted on steering column for the operation of the turn signals, headlights and wiper/washer. Combination switches can be serviced by removing column covers and steering wheel.
