Description & Operation

A power window motor is mounted on each window regulator. Each motor contains an internal circuit breaker. An additional circuit breaker in the power supply circuit protects power window system from overload. On Quest, power window system is controlled by Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU). The SECU energizes power window relay by controlling the relay ground circuit. Quest is equipped with rear power vent windows.

On all models, pushing power window switch in one direction will raise or lower window. When switch is pushed in opposite direction, current to motor is reversed and motor changes direction. Driver's power window main switch will operate any window, and on some models, incorporates an automatic feature that lowers driver's window without holding switch in DOWN position.
