DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)

NOTE: Before proceeding, ensure ambient temperature is more than 41°F (5°C).
  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II. Ensure FUEL T/TEMP SE is more than 32°F (0°C).
  2. Start engine and wait at least 20 seconds. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, go to next step.
  3. Stop engine. Connect EVAP Service Port Adapter (J41413-OBD) to EVAP service port. See Figure . Connect a suitable pressure pump to adapter.
  4. Pressurize purge line using pressure pump. If pressure goes up, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If pressure does not go up, system is okay at this time.
