Probable Cause
Malfunction is detected when Electric throttle valve control actuator fails under the following conditions:
- Electric throttle valve control actuator is open or shorted.
- Electric throttle valve control actuator fails.
NOTE:
With malfunction ECM stops the electric throttle actuator control, throttle valve is maintained at a fixed opening (approximately 5°) by the return spring.
