Parking Brake Shoes

  1. Use a deep well socket to rotate the self locking nut to loosen the cable sufficiently. Then, after returning the pedal completely, adjust the clearance of the rear shoes.
  2. Remove the rear wheels.
  3. Using a wheel nut, fix the disc to the hub to prevent it from tilting.
  4. Remove adjuster hole plug. Use flat blade screwdriver to turn down adjuster wheel until brake is locked. Back off adjuster wheel 5-6 clicks. Ensure parking brake shoes do not drag on drum when disc is rotated. Install adjuster hole plug.
