Pinion/Clutch Inspection

- Inspect pinion gear teeth and ring gear teeth. Replace pinion if teeth are worn or damaged.
- Inspect reduction gear teeth and armature shaft gear teeth. Replace reduction gear if teeth are damaged or excessively worn.
- Pinion should rotate smoothly in one direction and lock in opposite direction. Replace pinion if abnormal resistance is felt.
