Power Supply and Ground Circuit Check for Display Control Unit

  1. CHECK FUSE 
    • Make sure the following fuses of the display control unit are not blown.
      FUSE CHECK CHART

      Terminals Power source Fuse No.
      Connector Terminal (Wire color)
      M42 1 (Y) Battery power 38
      10 (P/B) ACC power 6

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate case of malfunction before installing new fuse. Refer to "POWER DISTRIBUTION " .
  2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 

    Check voltage between connector terminals and ground as follows.

    VOLTAGE CHECK CHART

    Terminals Ignition switch position
    (+) (-) OFF ACC ON
    Connector Terminal (Wire color)
    M42 1 (Y) Ground Battery voltage Battery voltage Battery voltage
    10 (P/B) 0V Battery voltage Battery voltage

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 3.
    2. NG: Check harness for open or short between display control unit and fuse.
  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT 

    Check continuity between the following display control unit and ground.

    CONTINUITY CHART

    Terminals Ignition switch Continuity
    Connector Terminal (Wire color) Ground
    M42 3 (B) OFF Yes

    1. OK: INSPECTION END.
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness.
