RGB Screen is Not Shown

  1. CHECK HARNESS 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect display control unit connector and display connector.
    3. Check continuity between display control unit harness connector M43 terminal 49, 51 (B), 53 (W), 55 (R) and display harness connector M38 terminal 21, 9 (B), 20 (W), 8 (R).

      CONTINUITY CHECK CHART

      Terminals Continuity
      Display control unit Display
      Connector Terminal (Wire color) Connector Terminal (Wire color)
      M43 49 M38 21 Yes
      51 (B) 9 (B)
      53 (W) 20 (W)
      55 (R) 8 (R)
    4. Check continuity between display control unit harness connector M43 terminal 49, 51 (B), 53 (W), 55 (R) and ground.

      Continuity should not exist.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG: Repair harness or connector.
  2. CHECK RGB AREA SIGNAL 
    1. Connect display control unit connector and display connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Push the "TRIP" button.
    4. Check signal between display control unit connector M43 terminals 51 (B) and 49 with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

      51 (B) - 49: Refer to " TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR DISPLAY CONTROL UNIT   ".

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 3.
    2. NG: Replace display control unit.
  3. CHECK VERTICAL SYNCHRONIZING SIGNAL 
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check signal between display control unit connector M43 terminals 53 (W) and 49 with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

      53 (W) - 49: Refer to ," TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR DISPLAY CONTROL UNIT   ".

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 4.
    2. NG: Replace display.
  4. CHECK HORIZONTAL SYNCHRONIZING SIGNAL 
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check signal between display control unit connector M43 terminals 55 (R) and 49 with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

      55 (R) - 49: Refer to " TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR DISPLAY CONTROL UNIT   ".

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace display control unit.
    2. NG: Replace display.
