Check Power Supply And Ground Circuit

  1. CHECK FUSES OR FUSIBLE LINK 

    Check for blown fuses or fusible link.

    POWER SOURCE REFERENCE

    Unit Power source Fuse No.
    BCM Battery g
    Ignition switch ON or START position 1
    IPDM E/R Battery 34
    35
    37
    40
    41
    53

    Refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM - AUTO/L - ".

    OK or NG 

    • OK: GO TO 2.
    • NG: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of blown fuse before installing new fuse. Refer to "POWER SUPPLY ROUTING CIRCUIT ".
  2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 
    1. Disconnect BCM connectors.
    2. Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.
      IGNITION SWITCH POSITION REFERENCE

      BCM (-) Ignition switch position
      (+) OFF ACC ON
      Connector Terminal
      M18 38 Ground 0V 0V Battery voltage
      M20 70 Battery voltage Battery voltage Battery voltage

    OK or NG 

    • OK: GO TO 3.
    • NG: Check harness for open between BCM and fuse.

  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT 

    Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

    BCM CONTINUITY

    BCM   Continuity
    Connector Terminal
    M20 67 Ground Yes

    OK or NG 

    • OK: Inspection End.
    • NG: Check ground circuit harness.
