Diagnosis & Testing: Pre-Check

NOTE: If the ECU stores DTC, "CHECK VSC" is displayed on the multi-information display and ABS warning light and VSC OFF indicator light are ON. See Fig 1.

Inspect the battery positive voltage which should be 10-14 volts.
Release the parking brake pedal.
When the ignition switch is turned ON, check that the ABS warning light, BRAKE warning light, VSC OFF indicator light and SLIP indicator light turns on for 3 seconds.
If the indicator check result is not normal, test all light circuits. See SYSTEM TESTING .
