Door Switch Check

  1. CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL 1 

    With CONSULT-II 

    Check door switches ("DOOR SW-DR" and "DOOR SW-AS") in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II.

    MONITOR ITEM CONDITION

    Monitor item Condition
    DOOR SW-DR OPEN :ON
    CLOSE :OFF
    DOOR SW-AS OPEN :ON
    CLOSE :OFF

    Without CONSULT-II 

    Check voltage between BCM connector and ground.

    CONNECTOR TERMINAL VOLTAGE

    Passenger side M34 10 (R) Ground OPEN 0
    CLOSE Battery voltage
    Driver side 14 (SB) OPEN 0
    CLOSE Battery voltage

    OK or NG

    1. OK : Door switch is OK.
    2. NG : GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY 
    1. Disconnect BCM connector.
    2. Check continuity between BCM connector M34 terminals 10, 14 and front door lock assembly connector D10, D38 terminal 4.
      1. Driver side 
      2. 14 (SB) - 4 (SB) : Continuity should exist. 
      3. Passenger side 
      4. 10 (R) - 4 (R) : Continuity should exist. 
    3. Check continuity between BCM connector M34 terminals 10, 14 and ground.
      1. 10 (R) - Ground : Continuity should not exist. 
      2. 14 (SB) - Ground : Continuity should not exist.

    OK or NG

    1. OK : GO TO 3.
    2. NG : Repair or replace harness.
  3. CHECK DOOR SWITCH 

    Check continuity between front door lock assembly terminals 4 and 5.

    TERMINAL CONTINUITY

    Terminal Door switch Continuity
    4 5 OPEN No
    CLOSE Yes

    OK or NG

    1. OK : GO TO 4.
    2. NG : Replace malfunction front door lock assembly.

  4. CHECK BCM OUTPUT SIGNAL 
    1. Connect BCM connector.
    2. Check voltage between BCM connector and ground.

    OK or NG

    1. OK : Check the condition of the harness and the connector.
    2. NG : Replace BCM.
