Diagnostic Procedure

CHECK CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (POS)
Refer to "COMPONENT INSPECTION ".

OK or NG
1. OK: GO TO 2.
2. NG: Replace crankshaft position sensor (POS).
CHECK CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (PHASE)
Refer to "DTC P0340, P0345 CMP SENSOR (PHASE) ".

OK or NG
1. OK: GO TO 3.
2. NG: Replace camshaft position sensor (PHASE).
CHECK CAMSHAFT (INTAKE)
Check the following.
- Accumulation of debris to the signal plate of camshaft rear end
- Chipping signal plate of camshaft rear end
OK or NG
1. OK: GO TO 4.
2. NG: Remove debris and clean the signal plate of camshaft rear end or replace camshaft.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to "TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".

For wiring diagram, refer to WIRING DIAGRAM for CKP sensor (PQS), DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE and BANK 2 for CMP sensor (PHASE).
