Pinion Sleeve Assembly

- Remove pinion sleeve mounting bolts.
- Using a plastic hammer, tap companion flange to remove pinion sleeve assembly.
- Remove the pinion sleeve shim.
- Remove the pinion lock nut.
- Using a drift, remove drive pinion assembly from pinion sleeve with a press.
Tool number: ST33220000 (J25804-01)
- Remove companion flange.
- Remove the O-ring from pinion sleeve.
- Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, remove the pinion sleeve oil seal.CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the pinion sleeve.
- Remove the pinion rear bearing inner race.
- Using a puller, remove the pinion rear bearing outer race.

- Using a puller, remove the pinion front bearing outer race.
Tool number: KV381054S0 (J34286)
- Remove dust cover.
- Remove the collapsible spacer from the drive pinion.
- Using a replacer, press the pinion front bearing inner race out of the drive pinion.
