Checking Fuel Pressure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 Nissan Xterra, 2003 Nissan Sentra, 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, 2003 Nissan Murano, and 2003 Nissan Maxima. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Turn ignition off. Connect fuel gauge between fuel filter outlet and fuel tube using a "T" connector. Install fuel pump fuse.
- Start engine. Check fuel line connections for leaks. Check fuel pressure with engine idling. Disconnect vacuum hose from pressure regulator. Recheck fuel pressure.
- Compare fuel pressure readings on pressure gauge with specifications. See FUEL PRESSURE table. Release fuel system pressure as described in FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect fuel pressure gauge. Reconnect fuel lines. Start engine and check for fuel leaks.
