Fuel Pump

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 Nissan Xterra, 2003 Nissan Sentra, 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, 2003 Nissan Murano, and 2003 Nissan Maxima. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Disconnect fuel pump harness connector. For location, see FUEL PUMP HARNESS CONNECTOR LOCATIONS  table. On Frontier 2.4L, measure resistance between fuel pump connector terminals No. 5 and 6. See Fig 1. On Maxima and Sentra, measure resistance between fuel pump connector terminals No. 1 and 3. See Fig 2. On all other models, measure resistance between fuel pump 2-pin connector terminals See Fig 3. On all models except Murano and 350Z, resistance should be 0.2-5.0 ohms at 77°F (25°C). On Murano and 350Z, resistance should be approximately 1.0 ohms at 77°F (25°C). Replace fuel pump, if resistance is not as specified.
