Can Communication Inspection Using Consult-II

- Self-Diagnostic result check. Connect CONSULT-II to DLC, and select "BCM" on "SELECT SYSTEM" screen. Select "BCM Control Unit" on "SELECT WORK ITEM" screen, and select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS". Check display content in self-diagnostic results. If CONSULT-II displays ECM DTC U1000, go to next step and diagnose CAN COMM, CAN CIRC 1, CAN CIRC 2, CAN CIRC 3 and CAN CIRC 4. If CONSULT-II does not display ECM DTC U1000, no malfunction exists, testing is complete.
- Symptom check. Select "CAN Diagnosis Support Monitor" in data monitor. Select "START" and check display content. See Fig 1 . Print out monitor items and see CAN SYSTEM article.
