Brake Actuator: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus LS 430, 2002 Lexus LS 430, and 2001 Lexus LS 430. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Do not keep motor relay ON for more than 5 seconds continuously. When operating continuously, leave off more than 20 seconds. Never turn ON a solenoid which is not described. Refer to the LEXUS hand-held tester operator's manual for further details.
  1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3. See Figure.
  2. Start the engine and run it at idle. Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the hand-held tester.
  3. Test actuator motor operation. See ACTUATOR MOTOR OPERATION .
  4. Test wheel solenoid operation. See WHEEL SOLENOID OPERATION .
  5. Clear DTC. See CLEARING CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
