Transfer Control Unit Circuit Inspection

- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check terminals and connector of transfer control unit for damage, bend and loose connection (control unit side and harness side).
OK or NG
OK : GO TO 2.
NG : Repair terminal or connector.
- CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
All-mode 4WD system
- Disconnect transfer control unit connector.
- Check resistance between transfer control unit harness connector terminals.

Part time 4WD system
- Disconnect transfer control unit connector.
- Check resistance between transfer control unit harness connector terminals.

OK or NG
OK : Replace transfer control unit.
NG : Repair harness between transfer control unit and data link connector.
