Door Window Frame Moulding: Replacement

HINT:

• Installation is in the reverse order of removal. But the installation is indicated only when it has a point.
• In the RH side, work in the same procedure as in the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP UPPER 
2. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP NO.2 LH 
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING UPPER LH 
   1. Using a drill of less than phis 4 mm (0.16 in.).
   2. Gently and vertically place the drill tip onto the rivet, and cut the rivet flanges.

      1. A: 5 mm (0.20 in.) 
      NOTE:

      • Prizing the hole with a drill can lead to damage to the rivet hole or the drill itself.
      • Be careful when undertaking this task as the cut rivet is hot.
   3. Even if flange is taken off, continue drilling and push cut remaining fragment with the drill.
   4. Remove front door window frame moulding upper from the door frame.

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING SUB-ASSY LH 
   1. Using a drill of less than phis 4 mm (0.16 in.).
   2. Gently and vertically place the drill tip onto the rivet, and cut the rivet flanges.

   4. Remove the rear door window frame moulding from the door frame.

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING UPPER LH 
   1. Engage the front door window frame moulding upper with door frame.
   2. Using an air riveter or hand riveter with nose piece, strike rivets into the door frame.

   NOTE:

   • If the rivet is not positioned perpendicularly it will bend the mandrel.
   • When trigger is then pulled, it may damage SST.
6. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING SUB-ASSY LH 
   1. Engage the rear door window frame moulding with door frame.
   2. Using an air riveter or hand riveter with nose piece, strike rivets into the door frame.
