Roof Headlining ASSY: Replacement

- REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT ASSY (See OVERHAUL )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 claws and 3 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate.

HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Using a screwdriver, remove the clip.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and 3 clips, and remove the rear door scuff plate.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt floor anchor.
- Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and remove the center pillar garnish.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the center pillar upper garnish.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH
- Push the pin portion of the roof side garnish inner, then pull and release the clip.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 5 clips and remove the roof side garnish inner.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
- Push the pin portion of front pillar garnish, then pull and release the clip.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 clips and remove the front pillar garnish.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Protect the curtain shield airbag.NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protection cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
- Cover the airbag with cloth or nylon of 700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) and fix the ends of the cover with tape, as shown in Fig 8.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSY
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the assist grip cover.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the 2 screws and assist grip.
- Use the same manner described above to the other assist grip.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the assist grip cover.
- REMOVE RH VISOR ASSY
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the 2 screws and assist grip.
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.
- REMOVE LH VISOR ASSY
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSY
- Remove the 2 plug hole covers.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips and remove the roof console box, then disconnect the connector.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE ROOM LAMP ASSY NO.1
- Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips and remove the room lamp No.1, then disconnect the connector.

HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE VISOR HOLDER RH
- Remove the holder of the sun visor by turning it to the left.
- REMOVE VISOR HOLDER LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER
- Remove the inner rear view mirror stay holder cover.
- REMOVE VANITY LAMP ASSY
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and remove the vanity lamp, then disconnect the connector.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSY
- Remove the inner rear view mirror cover.
- Tear off the tape adhered to part of the wire harness.
- Disengage the 4 clips.
- Remove the headlining assembly from the passenger's door.
- INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSY
- Align the markings, then install the wire harness with tape.
HINT:
Be careful for dirt or foreign objects not to stick to the adhered part when peeling the double-stick tape.
- Attach the roof wire harness across the adhered part.
NOTE: Roof wire harness should be attached securely. - Align the markings, then install the wire harness with tape.
- INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
- Install the new clip on the front pillar.
- Install the front pillar garnish.
- INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
- INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH
- Install the new clip on the rear pillar.
- Install the roof side garnish inner.
- INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH
- Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
