Roof Headlining ASSY: Replacement

HINT:

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY UPPER (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  7. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSY UPPER (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  8. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER REAR (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  9. REMOVE RR CONSOLE BOX (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  12. REMOVE AIR DUCT REAR NO.1 (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  13. REMOVE AIR DUCT REAR NO.2 (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX DUCT NO.1 (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  15. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 claws and 3 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the clip.
    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and 3 clips, and remove the rear door scuff plate.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  19. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  23. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  24. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt floor anchor.
    3. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and remove the center pillar garnish.

  25. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  26. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the center pillar upper garnish.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  27. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  28. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH 
    1. Push the pin portion of the roof side garnish inner, then pull and release the clip.
    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 5 clips and remove the roof side garnish inner.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  29. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  30. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 
    1. Push the pin portion of front pillar garnish, then pull and release the clip.
    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 clips and remove the front pillar garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Protect the curtain shield airbag.
      NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protection cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
      1. Cover the airbag with cloth or nylon of 700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) and fix the ends of the cover with tape, as shown in Fig 8.

  31. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  32. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the assist grip cover.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and assist grip.
    3. Use the same manner described above to the other assist grip.
  33. REMOVE RH VISOR ASSY 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and assist grip.
  34. REMOVE LH VISOR ASSY 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  35. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 plug hole covers.
    2. Remove the 2 screws.
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips and remove the roof console box, then disconnect the connector.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  36. REMOVE ROOM LAMP ASSY NO.1 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.

    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips and remove the room lamp No.1, then disconnect the connector.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  37. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER RH 
    1. Remove the holder of the sun visor by turning it to the left.

  38. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  39. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER 
    1. Remove the inner rear view mirror stay holder cover.
  40. REMOVE VANITY LAMP ASSY 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and remove the vanity lamp, then disconnect the connector.
    2. Use the same manner described above to the other side.

  41. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSY 
    1. Remove the inner rear view mirror cover.

    3. Tear off the tape adhered to part of the wire harness.
    4. Disengage the 4 clips.
    5. Remove the headlining assembly from the passenger's door.

  42. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSY 
    1. Align the markings, then install the wire harness with tape.

      HINT:

      Be careful for dirt or foreign objects not to stick to the adhered part when peeling the double-stick tape.

    2. Attach the roof wire harness across the adhered part.
    NOTE: Roof wire harness should be attached securely.

  43. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 
    1. Install the new clip on the front pillar.
    2. Install the front pillar garnish.

  44. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  45. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH 
    1. Install the new clip on the rear pillar.
    2. Install the roof side garnish inner.

  46. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH 
    1. Use the same manner described above to the RH side.
  47. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  48. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  49. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  50. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (See  OVERHAUL  )
