Front Axle Hub Bolt: Replacement

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (See SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the disc brake caliper assembly LH from the steering knuckle.
NOTE:- Use a string or equivalent to keep the brake caliper from hanging down by the flexible hose.
- The friction surface of the pad and disc must be free from oil, grease and paint.
- REMOVE FRONT DISC
- REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT
- Temporarily install the 2 hub nuts.
- Using SST and a hammer handle or an equivalent to hold the axle hub LH, remove the LH hub bolt.
SST 09628-10011
- INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT
- Install a washer and nut to a new LH hub bolt as shown in the illustration.
- Using a hammer handle or an equivalent to hold the axle hub LH, install the LH hub bolt by tightening the nut.
- INSTALL FRONT DISC
- INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
- Install the disc brake caliper with the 2 bolts to the steering knuckle LH.
Torque: 107 N.m (1,090 kgf.cm, 79 in.lbf)
- Install the disc brake caliper with the 2 bolts to the steering knuckle LH.
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)
