Pinion Sleeve Assembly

- Remove pinion sleeve mounting bolts.
- Temporarily tighten 2 bolts. Using a plastic hammer, tap companion flange to remove pinion sleeve assembly.
- Remove the pinion sleeve shim.
- Remove the pinion nut.
- Using a drift, remove drive pinion from pinion sleeve with a press.

Tool number: ST33220000 (J25804-01)
- Remove drive pinion assembly.
- Remove the O-ring from pinion sleeve.
- Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, remove the oil seal.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the pinion sleeve.
- Remove the pinion rear bearing inner race.
- Using a puller, remove the pinion rear bearing outer race.

- Using a puller, remove the pinion front bearing outer race.
Tool number: KV381054S0 (J34286)
- Remove the collapsible spacer from the drive pinion gear.
- Using a replacer, press the pinion front bearing inner race out of the drive pinion gear.
