With GST
- Turn ignition switch ON and select "Service $01" with GST.
- Check that engine coolant temperature is within the range of -10 to 50°C (14 to 122°F).
- Check that voltage between ECM terminal 54 (EGR temperature sensor signal) and ground is less than 4.8V.

- Start engine and let it idle for at least 80 seconds.
- Stop engine.
- Turn ignition switch OFF, wait at least 10 seconds and then turn ON.
- Select "Service $07" with GST.
- If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to
"DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE ".
