Overall Function Check
Use this procedure to check the overall function of the ASCD brake switch circuit. During this check, a 1st trip DTC might not be confirmed.
WITHOUT CONSULT-II
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between ECM terminal 108 (ASCD brake switch signal) and ground under the following conditions.

A/T models
ASCD BRAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST CONDITIONS - A/T MODELSCONDITION VOLTAGE Brake pedal: Slightly depressed Approximately 0V Brake pedal: Fully released Battery voltage M/T models
ASCD BRAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST CONDITIONS - M/T MODELSCONDITION VOLTAGE Clutch pedal and/or brake pedal: Slightly depressed Approximately 0V Clutch pedal and brake pedal: Fully released Battery voltage - If NG, go to
"DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE ".
If OK, go to next step.
- Check voltage between ECM terminal 101 (Stop lamp switch signal) and ground under the following conditions.
