ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure
CAUTION:
- Servicing PAX run flat tires and wheels requires special tire equipment and training. DO NOT service PAX Run Flat tires and wheels with conventional tire servicing equipment or damage to the tire and wheel will result.
- If a PAX run flat tire and wheel [or transmitter (pressure sensor)] requires service, and the proper servicing equipment is not available, then replace the complete PAX tire and wheel assembly.
NOTE:
When the tires are rotated, or a spare tire is mounted, or a wheel, tire pressure sensor or BCM is replaced, the tire pressure sensor must be registered.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Set the tire pressure of all wheels to pressure specified on the tire and loading information label.
- Select "Reset TPM System" on the TPMS3.
- Hold the TPMS3 against the side wall of the tire, within 3 inches of the valve stem. Press TEST button on the TPMS3 and read each of the sensor IDs in the following order: left front, right front, right rear, and then left rear.
- Connect the TPMS3 OBDII module to the Data Link Connector (DLC) located under the driver's side of the instrument panel.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Do not start engine.
- When screen prompts to "CONNECT OBDII MODULE", press "Y" button on the TPMS3 to transmit sensor IDs.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect the TPMS3 from DLC.
NOTE:
The instrument cluster display unit (if equipped) displays the air pressure of each tire (except spare tire). After the ignition switch is turned on, the pressure values will not be displayed until the data of each wheel is received.
