Manual Bleeding
- Discharge system pressure. With ignition off, pump brake pedal a MINIMUM of 40 times with complete pedal strokes. Verify reservoir is full. Raise and support vehicle. Attach a clear hose to right front bleeder valve and submerge other end of hose in container of clean brake fluid.
- Open bleeder valve. Slowly depress brake pedal. Tap lightly on caliper housing to free trapped air. Close bleeder valve and release brake pedal. Repeat this step until no air is seen in hose. Repeat procedure for left front bleeder valve.
- Before bleeding rear brakes, turn ignition on and allow pump motor to charge system. Pump motor should stop running within one minute. Verify reservoir is full. Attach a clear hose to right rear bleeder valve and submerge other end of hose in a container of clean brake fluid.
- Open bleeder valve. Slowly depress brake pedal. Tap lightly on cylinder/caliper housing to free trapped air. Close bleeder valve and release brake pedal. Repeat this step until no air is seen in hose. Repeat procedure for left rear bleeder valve.
