Section 272 (Charging System - Generators & Regulators): Generator: Installation

  1. Install Generator 
    1. Install the 2 bolts and generator.
      1. Torque: 
      2. 12 mm head: 25 N.m (255 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf) 
      3. 14 mm head: 54 N.m (550 kgf.cm, 40 ft.lbf)

    2. Connect the wire clamp to the wire clip on the rectifire end flame.
    3. Connect the generator connector.
    4. Connect the generator wire, and install the nut and cap.

  3. Install RH Engine Mounting Insulator  . See INSTALLATION .
  4. Install Drive Belt 

    Turning the drive belt tensioner clockwise, and install the drive belt.
