X12 - Check PFC Circuit For Short To Power



- Key "OFF".

- Pusher Fan Control (PFC) relay disconnected.

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Key "ON", engine "OFF".

- Measure voltage between test pin 34 and test pin 40 (GND) at the breakout box.

- Key "OFF".

- Was voltage less than 1.0 volt?

Yes -- Go to X13. X13 - Check PFC Circuit For Short to Ground

No -- Service short circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions) If Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 562 is still present, replace PCM.
