Electronic Control Unit (Ecu)

ECU contains memories for basic injection timing and duration, electronic idle control, ignition timing control, ECU back-up functions and other control functions.

If a problem is present in system, the CHECK ENGINE dash warning light comes on, and the Red LED in ECU flashes trouble code(s). On Legend, the Yellow LED indicates Electronic Air Control Valve (EACV) has exceeded preset limits for idle speed control. It will either remain on steadily or blink, depending on the limit exceeded. The Yellow LED is also used as a guide for adjusting idle speed.

On Integra and Legend Coupe, ECU is located under the carpet, in passenger's side footwell. On Legend Sedan, ECU is located under the front passenger's seat.
