Removal (Legend)

  1. Relieve fuel pressure. See RELIEVING FUEL PRESSURE in BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article.
  2. Remove maintenance access cover in luggage compartment. Disconnect fuel lines and connector. Remove pump mounting nuts. Remove fuel pump from tank. If pump is difficult to remove, loosen fuel tank mounting bolts to slightly lower tank. Fuel pump is serviced as an assembly. DO NOT  disassemble pump.
