Washer Level Warning System
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1990 Acura Legend. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Turn the ignition switch on. If the washer level warning light comes on, check the washer fluid level, and add washer fluid if necessary.
- Remove the front bumper, then disconnect the 2-P connector from the washer fluid level switch. Connect the "A" (GRN/BLK) terminal to the "B" (BLK) terminal with a jumper wire. The warning light should come on as the ignition switch is turned on. See Fig 1.
- If the light comes on, the problem is the washer fluid level switch.
- If the light does not come on, check for poor ground (G5 or 15), no power to the warning circuit, an open in the GRN/BLK wire to the gauge assembly, bad bulb, faulty warning circuit.
