Fuel Rails & Injectors: Installation
- Slide new cushion rings onto injectors. Install new "O" rings coated with clean engine oil onto injectors. Insert injectors into fuel rail.
- Coat new injector seal rings with clean engine oil and insert into intake manifold. Install injectors and fuel rail as an assembly to intake manifold. To complete installation, replace fuel line-to-fuel rail washers. Tighten fuel line-to-fuel rail nuts to 16 ft. lbs (21 N.m). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
- Pressurize fuel system by turning ignition on with engine off for 2 seconds. Repeat fuel pressurizing procedure 3 times. Check for fuel leaks and repair any that are present.
