Fuel Pressure Regulator Cut-Off Solenoid Valve Test I
- Engine coolant temperature must be greater than 22°F (105°C), and intake air temperature must be greater than 176°F (80°C). Disconnect 6-wire fuel pressure regulator cut-off solenoid valve connector.
- Connect voltmeter positive lead to Black/Yellow wire terminal and negative lead to Light Green wire terminal. Measure voltage within one minute after starting engine.
- If voltage is present, replace cut-off solenoid valve. If voltage is NOT present, move negative lead to body ground. If voltage is now present, go to step 5).
- If voltage is NOT present, check for open circuit in Black/Yellow wire between cut-off solenoid valve and No. 9 (10-amp) fuse. Repair circuit or replace faulty fuse.
- Check for open circuit in Light Green wire between cut-off solenoid valve and ECU terminal A13. If wire is okay, substitute a known good ECU and retest. If problem goes away, replace original ECU.
